Our vision
私たちが目指すもの
佐藤研究室 CUX (Computer/Culture User Experience) Laboratory は、2022年に宮城大学事業構想学群に新設されました。情報技術 (Computer) を土台に、人々の新しい体験 (User Experience) の創出や、伝統文化や生活文化(Culture)のアップデートに取り組む研究室です。現代の視点から、伝統的な価値観や哲学となめらかにつながる情報とデザインの在り方を探求します。
CUX (Computer/Culture User Experience) Laboratory explores how information technology can serve as a foundation for creating new user experiences and revitalizing traditional and everyday cultures. The lab investigates the role of information and design in bridging contemporary perspectives with traditional values and philosophies in a seamless and meaningful way.
Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) の技術を基盤として、伝統的な価値観や哲学と滑らかに接続する情報デザインの在り方を探求しています。近年では特に、素材の特性や数理構造を利用して、生活環境に存在する乗り物・衣服・空間などのモチーフをコンピュテーショナルにリデザインし、プロトタイピングすることを通して、新しい体験や価値観を創出することを目指しています。
Building on the foundations of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), our research explores approaches to information design that seamlessly connect with traditional values and philosophies. In recent years, we have focused especially on computationally redesigning and prototyping everyday elements—such as vehicles, clothing, and spaces—by leveraging material properties and mathematical structures, with the goal of creating new experiences and value systems.

佐藤研究室ではデザイナー、プログラマー、アーティストなど様々な属性や価値観を持つ人々が集い、対話することを重視しています。所属や学年を問わず研究室訪問や相談を歓迎します。
We value the gathering and dialogue of people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, including designers, programmers, artists, and others. We welcome visits and consultations regardless of affiliation or academic year.
学群3年生の皆さん
価値創造デザイン学類、感性情報デザインコースと生活環境デザインコースの両方から配属を受け付けています。必ず面談の上で配属希望を出してください。
配属時の所属コースや習得スキルは重視しません。この理想を追求したい、これを成し遂げたいといった熱意、行動力、主体性、そして何より好奇心に溢れる皆さんの参加を歓迎します。
外部受験者の皆さん
佐藤研究室は 宮城大学大学院 事業構想学研究科 情報デザイン領域 に設置されています。受験希望の方は出願まで2か月程度は余裕をもって佐藤准教授にコンタクトしてください。
